My Developing Career

This Monday, I had a formal interview with one of my two university’s student newspapers. And I felt it went really well. I negotiated each answer with candour, and let my answers naturally flow. They said they would let me know in two weeks if I would be given an offer at the publication. If they are reading this, then it means that I was correct in my assessment and it went as well as I imagined it did. If they aren’t, then they were not interested for what honestly could have been a variety of different reasons not even specific necessarily to me. Either way, I’m pretty sure I can write this. There are honestly maybe only two close friends I know in real life with links to this domain. And they understand there are simply things I cannot talk about because of my commitment to journalistic integrity.

But it was incredible. The rush I felt again. I fucking love to write, critique writing, and yes: I genuinely love editing writing too. Any chance I get to talk about it professionally is amazing to me. ‘My Developing Career’ has been such a joy so far. I cannot wait to see what it may bring in the future.
